Two of the biggest lottery jackpots in Australian history will be drawn over the next three days as the most frequent numbers played over the last 35 years are revealed.

Lotto spokesman Matthew Hart said half of Australian adults are expected to participate in Thursday night’s Mammoth Awards draw, with one in three competing in the mega draw.

“The last time Powerball offered $100 million in prize money was in October 2022, with sales peaking at 6:12 p.m. on draw day, with more than 6,900 tickets sold in one minute.” He said.

The numbers 17, 7, 2, and 9 were the most frequently drawn numbers on the main barrel over the last 35 years, while 19 was the most common number on Powerball.

16 and 14 were the least popular Powerball numbers, but the most frequently drawn main barrel numbers were 33, 31, 34, and 15.
