World’s oldest French nun Sister André dies at 118
“I didn’t even realize I had it,” she told the French newspaper. Var-Matin.
Sister Andre, who is blind and uses a wheelchair, was unconcerned when she received the diagnosis.
“She asked me not about my health, but about my habits,” David Tavera, the care home’s communications manager, told the newspaper. I wanted to know if she showed no fear of the disease, while she was very worried about the other residents.”
Sister Andre became the world’s oldest person after Kane Tanaka’s death in Japan in 2021.
“I think I’d be better off in heaven, but the good Lord doesn’t want me yet,” she told a French television station. RMC.
