World-class self-driving vehicle testing and research facility on track in rural New South Wales
The New South Wales government has pledged $9.5 million to upgrade its future mobility testing and research center, with the goal of developing Australia’s first self-driving vehicle certification site.
This upgrade brings the facility in line with national and international testing requirements for 2023, with simulated city scenarios, pedestrian interaction test zones, and dynamic automated driving such as rain, tunnels and dirt roads. It is set up to include a driving car test environment.
The facility upgrade will also address the growing safety testing requirements of ANCAP, an independent safety agency, providing Australian consumers and road users with a safer fleet of vehicles tested to the latest globally recognized safety standards. provided to those
