Sydney woman dies after car crashes into house
A woman has died after her car crashed into her house in western Sydney.
The woman was with three others at a house on Monferville Street in St. Mary’s when the crash occurred around 5:20 am on Saturday.
The vehicle was found parked in the backyard, suggesting it had driven right into the front right before completely crashing through the house.
Police and paramedics tried to save the 62-year-old woman, but she died at the scene.
The other three people inside were not injured.
After the crash, police stopped a driver who allegedly fled the scene with a baby. The pair were unharmed.
The woman was arrested and taken to Nepean Hospital for a mandatory examination.
Police urged anyone with information or video of the incident to come forward.
