Chloe Rattanzi Tears for Mother Olivia Newton-John
Chloe Rattanzi maintained a connection with her mother, Olivia Newton-John, even after her passing, and still speaks with her every day.
Lattanzi and Newton-John’s widow, John Easterling, sat down with A Current Affair’s Ali Langdon to share how to keep a mother’s spirit alive.
“I talk to her every day when I’m meditating or walking around,” Rattanji said.
“I know it sounds crazy to some, but whenever I have doubts or questions, I talk to her. Last night, I lay in bed and talked to her for an hour.
The actress and singer shared how she felt her mother’s presence while giving a speech at the memorial service, and Langdon revealed that she was moved to tears by the speech.
“I felt my heart pounding. I never thought I could do it,” Rattanzi said.
“As soon as I stepped in there, I felt my mother inside me. My body felt the energy, and it was supernatural, the love of the room that carried me through it.”
She said she felt “a huge amount of love from my family and everyone in Australia and around the world” and that it was what drove her to keep her mother’s dream alive.
Before her death, Olivia Newton-John had a long journey with breast cancer, was an advocate for patients with the disease, and raised millions of dollars for cancer research.
“Dame Olivia Newton-John passed away peacefully this morning at her ranch in Southern California surrounded by family and friends.
The family announced that Olivia’s Wellness Walk will resume on October 8, with Rattanzi and Easterling carrying the torch of the event.
Walks fund wellness programs such as massage and acupuncture that have been proven to help reduce cancer treatment side effects such as pain, nausea, and fatigue.
