Byford accident: Woman dies after car veers off road and hits tree

Woman dies at scene crash Monday night at the southeastern tip of Perth.

Police said while driving a black Holden Captiva heading west on Thomas Road near Briggs Road in Byford, the car crossed the other side of the road, left the driveway and struck a tree.

Paramedics attended the accident, but the 45-year-old driver was declared dead at the scene.
