Bondi Junction shooting: Man dies after shooting at parked car in east Sydney | News Sydney
A man has been killed and three crime scenes have been activated in a car shot in the eastern suburbs of Sydney on Tuesday morning.
The ambulance service was called Bondi Police said they received a call about 8:30 a.m. that a man was shot while sitting in a parked car on Spring Street Junction.
The man’s identity has not been officially revealed, but he was believed to be in his late 40s and died on the spot.
Police believe a burnt-out Porsche found on James Street at Bondi Junction around the same time is linked to the shooting.
Detectives are also investigating a second burned-out car, a Holden Commodore, found in Cook Lane, Zetland.
Three crime scenes will be established and forensic investigations will be conducted by specialized police.
Officers from the Eastern Suburban Police Area Command and detectives from the State Crime Command Homicide Squad have launched an investigation.

Waverly City Council confirmed Tuesday morning that a portion of Bondi Junction between Spring and Dennison Streets will be closed to all pedestrians and bicycles for the next few hours amid an ongoing police investigation. .

An employee at a Holiday Inn on Spring Street said he arrived after the shooting but saw an ambulance stationed at an apartment next to the property around 9 a.m.
A retail employee at Lumiza Cafe on Spring Street confirmed the street was closed to traffic.
They said strong police arrived on the scene from around 8:30 am.
“I didn’t hear anything. They were serving customers,” she said, adding that “the police are still outside.”
New South Wales Police said Tuesday morning that no one had yet been arrested in connection with the shooting.
