90-year-old driver charged with death of teenage pedestrian

A 90-year-old woman was charged last year in a crash that killed a teenage pedestrian in northwest Sydney.
Emergency services were called after reports that a car overran the road and hit two teenage boys walking on the sidewalk in Carlingford on December 1, according to New South Wales Police. .
A 17-year-old boy died at the scene, and another boy, also 17, was taken to hospital with head injuries.
The driver of the sedan, a 90-year-old woman from Epping, injured her leg and was taken to hospital for a compulsory examination.
She was charged with negligent driving and negligent driving in the fatal accident on Sunday and is scheduled to appear in Burwood District Court on May 15.
