Valve has done extensive research on the Dota 2 2022 DPC timetable, event structure, and prize pool distribution in preparation for The International 11 (TI11). In 2022, the Dota 2 DPC will include the Division I and II Regional Leagues, as well as three major Dota 2 events.

Professional Dota 2 players compete in a series of leagues and tournaments in order to qualify for the next International. Dota 2’s DPC Schedule for 2022

Dota 2 Competition Formats for 2022 DPC

The Dota 2 2022 DPC competition format is susceptible to change in order to keep things interesting. A best-of-three round-robin system will be used in Division I and Division II Regional Leagues. The top 18 teams from Division I Regional Leagues will compete in the Dota 2 Majors. Major tournaments are broken down into three phases for this year’s Dota 2.

Second and third-place teams in each group will be relegated. 

Prize Money

Dota 2’s 2022 DPC financial rewards are much lower than those of the other four teams in the Playoffs. The prize money for the Regional Leagues events will be distributed evenly between Divisions I and II. From Tour to Tour, the quantity of DPC points awarded fluctuates, with the latter Tours receiving the most.

Teams That Are Expected To Participate

The inaugural DPC 2022 Tour will be held in 2022, with teams participating. All North American regional leagues will be organized by ESL One. Participation is accessible to North American teams in the first and second Accessible Qualifiers of ESL One.

All Western European Regional Leagues will be organized by DreamHack. To play in the first DPC 2022 circuit, teams from this area must qualify in either the first or second Open Qualifier. The Eastern European Regional Leagues will be organized by esports competition organizer Epic Esports Events. Epic Esports Events will host the first, second, and third open qualifiers for Dota 2 teams from this area. Priority No. 1: Organizing DreamHack’s Regional Leagues in China (Remember to keep an eye on everything.) Division I and II Perfect World China teams are yet to be confirmed. For the time being, no one knows which teams will compete in the Tour’s Regional Leagues in China, Southeast Asia, and South America.

Some Changes That Were Made 

There will be three “tours” instead of the two 

As the first update to the Dota Pro Circuit, the “Tour” has been renamed. Competitions will be contested in three areas instead of two Major seasons this year. This year’s scoring system will reward Tours’ recent play more than it did last season as they approach the International.

More DPC points

In response to this adjustment, the Major Leagues provide more qualifying points than the regional divisions. The leagues will reward points between 690/920/1150 and 1900/2700/3500. If a team hasn’t had international success, they are less likely to qualify just on the strength of their league results.

Roster Changes

When it comes to the playing roster, there are no vacancies.

Despite the many squad changes after the TI, there are just 10 days till the first roster lock. At 11:59 p.m. on November 21, Transfers must be completed by this time.

By Tuesday, participants must withdraw from the competition if they want to participate in this event. Regardless of where a player moves on the board, they continue to lose points. It is possible for a team to alter their strategy and lose 15% of their DPC points when this occurs. They will be penalized an extra 20% if they move players after qualifying for a major.

Ownership of a DPC Slot

During the season, Valve has clarified the regulations governing who may possess a DPC seat. The admin keeps ownership of all DPC spots regardless of whether a player, manager, or third-party holder is present when the roster is established. Any moment throughout the season, teams may be swapped. ‘

There are no plans for TI11 to incorporate open qualifiers.

No open qualifying will be held this year for The International. Participation in DPC 3 qualifies each team for the regional qualifying events needed to compete in TI11. However, we haven’t yet received all of the information we’re looking for.
