The Adelaide Crows are reportedly eager to entice former club star Patrick Dangerfield back to South Australia.

Drafted by the Crows with pick 10 in the 2007 AFL Draft, Dangerfield spent his formative years in Adelaide, earning three All-Australian selections and a best and fairest award in 2015.

However, as a free agent, Dangerfield opted to join the Geelong Cats after his tenure with the Crows, where he added to his accolades, including a Brownlow Medal and a premiership in 2022.

According to Channel 7 reporter Mitch Cleary, the Crows have made a bold move to lure Dangerfield back, highlighting his age and experience as valuable assets for their young squad.

While Dangerfield’s potential return to Adelaide is intriguing, Cleary suggests that the most likely scenario is for him to extend his career with Geelong. Despite the tempting proposition, Dangerfield is reportedly focused on recovering from a hamstring injury to return to action after Geelong’s round 14 bye.
