The Blue Mountains, Springwood, and Lithgow hospitals are receiving positive feedback from their patients.

The survey asked hospitalized patients about their experiences in a wide range of areas of care.

At Blue Mountains Hospital, 93% of respondents rated their overall care as ‘very good’ or ‘good’. Nearly all (85%) of patients surveyed at Blue Mountains Hospital say they have unquestionable trust and confidence in the medical professionals who are caring for them. Well-coordinated care is also rated highly, with 93% of patients rating how well the medical professionals work together as a team as ‘very good’ or ‘good’.

Nearly all (97%) of Springwood Hospital patients surveyed rated the care they received as “very good” or “good.” The hospital scored significantly higher than the state average on a number of key aspects of care, including in-hospital privacy, prevention of delays in discharge, and care organization.

Lithgow Hospital performs as well as other hospitals, with 94% of patients rating their treatment as ‘very good’ or ‘good’. Nurses and doctors, in particular, were rated very highly by her Lithgow patients, with 96% rating their attending physicians and 98% rating nurses as ‘very good’ or ‘good’. .
