Penrith Panthers winger Tyrann May out of NRL season with knee injury

Penrith’s NRL Premiership defense took a hit, with winger Tyran May ruled out the entire season with a knee injury.

May was injured in a tackle in the first half of the game. Scan confirms ACL injury as Panthers lose World Club Challenge to St. Helens.

He was already set to miss the first two games of the following year Controversial off-field ban postponed by NRL late last season.

However, he will instead miss the entire 2023 season and undergo surgery on his injured knee.

May proved difficult to stop on the left wing last season after scoring 16 tries in a breakout rookie year with the Panthers.
