Police seize cache of weapons after man brandishes taser at Perth shopping center

A Western Australian man has been charged with 22 counts after 19 weapons were seized at a unit in Carignyup, north of Perth.

The weapons cache included tasers, gel blasters, axes, machetes, knives, and ammo.

It came to light two weeks ago after reports of a man acting aggressively with a taser at a Karrinyup shopping center.

Scarborough Police used information provided by members of the public to locate the man.

A 41-year-old man has been charged with 10 counts of possessing a prohibited weapon, 11 counts of possessing a controlled weapon, and being armed in a manner that could cause fear. it was done.

He is scheduled to appear in Perth Magistrates Court on March 28.

Police claim a 63-year-old woman who lived there became aggressive during a search of the unit. She was arrested and charged with obstructing and disobeying police officers.

She will appear in Perth Magistrates Court on March 24.
