West Coast Eagles wag Liv Cripps (nee Stanley) reveals she’s fighting thyroid cancer

Just one week later Liv Cripps (formerly Stanley) married West Coast Eagles star Jamie Cripps, The model revealed that she was fighting cancer.

At the age of 26, she shared a photo from a hospital bed and told her followers that she had recently been diagnosed with thyroid cancer.

“Cancer isn’t what you expect to hear at the age of 26, but a few weeks ago I was diagnosed with thyroid cancer,” she wrote on Instagram.

“I am very grateful to be surrounded by many wonderful friends and family who have shown a lot of love and support.

“Share my story and encourage others to check for those lumps, because I’m not sure.”

Friends have loved and supported the opera singer Aimee Mannford, who surprised the audience at the Grand Final performance, and Miss Universe Australia winners Olivia Rogers and Charis Tivel.

Eagles and AFL alum also gathered around Rive, including Brittany Bounce, Taylor Dummy, Emimasten, Aim Redden, Cote Darling, and Monique Fontana.

Liv and Jamie, who share their one-year-old son Reif, tied a knot last Saturday at the popular Black Brewing Co in the southwestern part of the state. There, almost everyone on the West Coast team was towing with their partners.

Guests included Captain Luke Shuey and his wife Dani, forward Jack Darling and his wife Courtney, and Luckman Nick Naitany and his partner Bounce.

Elliot Yeo, Josh Rosam, Liam Duggan, Dom Seed, Tom Cole and Nathan Vardy were also on the guest list along with their respective partners.

Teammate Tom Ballas and his partner Nadia Rosa welcomed their first child, Billy Antony Ballas, together last week.

Jamie kneeled down and suggested to her partner two years ago during her vacation in Queenstown, New Zealand.
