Waratas Perez was banned in three games

Early-season predicament in New South Wales Waratas deepened, and Center Isaia Perez was suspended for three games.

Perese was put on the red card when the team lost to Queensland Reds in the 41-7 Super Rugby AU when they defeated the Reds Center Hunter Paisami with a dangerous tackle in the first round of Friday.

On Sunday, the SANZAAR Foul Play Review Committee banned Perez until March 19. This means he will not be able to play again until his return to the Round 6 Reds at the Australian Stadium.

Perez pleaded guilty to his foul and downgraded his penalty from the first low-end entry point of the six weeks after the jury decided that his actions were reckless rather than international.

The Waratas were also injured when skipper Jake Gordon and Perez’s fellow center Joey Walton were defeated by the Reds.
