Victoria recorded 1313 new locally acquired Covid-19 infections and four more deaths on Thursday.
There are 457 Victorian people in the hospital. Of these, 79 are in the intensive care unit and 48 are on ventilator.
A total of 76,105 tests were processed on Wednesday.
About 85% of Victorians over the age of 12 are fully vaccinated and 92.7% receive the first jab.
It was predicted that a double inoculation rate of 90% would be achieved around November 24th.
Victoria’s Prime Minister Daniel Andrews had previously flagged “no caps anywhere” since that date.
“There is no density limit anywhere,” he said.
“Masks are only needed in high-risk indoor environments, such as public transport, prisons, hospitals, and geriatric care, to give some examples.
I would like to meet more than 80,000 people in the boxing (Sunday) test on the first day.
“It’s not easy, but we’re very confident that we can do it.”
