Uber has revealed some of the hilarious and pretty weird things that customers accidentally misplaced in their ride-sharing cars.
Sex toys, Spider-Man costumes and leafplows are on the list of the least noticeable items found by rideshare drivers in the last 12 months.
In the sixth year, Uber released the annual Lost & Found Index. This shows that the Australians enhanced it with the weird and wacky items they left behind during their Uber trip.
The most common items people have forgotten were phones or cameras, keys, purses or purses, backpacks or bags and eyeglasses.
Perth is Australia’s most forgetful city, with the most riders misplaced items. Brisbane was the most memorable one.
According to Uber data, the peak Christmas period, December 11, was the most forgotten day for Uber passengers. This day left more than anything else during the investigation.
“From artificial eyes and sewing machines to sentimental metal straws and leaf blowers, Australia and Kiwi are more forgotten this year than ever before,” said Margarita Peker, Head of Rider Operations at Uber Australia.
“We continue to encourage people to return to the country, so we look forward to helping you return these lost items, no matter how strange.”
The best way for a rider to get a lost item is to call the driver via the app.
The person who puts the phone there can log in to their account on the computer and contact the driver from there.
