Transtusman S5000 VICTEE NAGER confirmed

Timothy Neil

After a spectacular debut season, Cooper Webster has confirmed that Versa Motorsport will be competing in the 2022 S5000 Trans Tasman series in October and November.

Webster won two races, ran consistently throughout the year and finished third in the Versa Championship. This is only two points behind GRM driver James Golding.

His Round One win in Darwin included setting a lap record with a dominant start to finish the grid frontal win, with both Webster and Versa just two years after their stay at the S5000. It shows that it will be a power that can be counted.

Team Principal Toby Pope said, “Since Cooper first saw the race, he has always believed in his talent and has seen him beat the current top-level F2 and F3 drivers in the karting era. “

“But now it’s been validated for everyone else to see throughout the 2022 S5000 season.

“At Cooper’s age, with his talent, I don’t think we can keep him any longer. Therefore, the best possible preparation to win the Tasman Series is the rest of 2022. It’s the focus. ”

After such a consistent season of teams winning 10 podiums and winning three races, Webster is eligible to enter Trans-Tasman in a bullish manner.

“With a year’s worth of experience, we are confident that we are heading to the Tasman Series as a championship candidate. This is our ultimate goal,” said Webster, who is confident.

“The progress we have made as a team through the championship has been amazing. At Darwin, we have demonstrated what we can do.

“It’s great to be in the Tasman Series early on, so we’ll be the best we can.”

The first event will take place October 29-30 at Surfers Paradise Street Circuit and will head to “The Mountain” November 11-12.
