Tom Rogic’s goal video, Celtic defeats Dundee United, Rangers leads, highlights, news, Ange Postecoglou

Soccer star Tom Rogic scored a brilliant solo goal as Celtic narrowed the gap to Scottish Premiership leader Rangers to four points and defeated Dundee United 3-0.

David Turnbull also scored a great goal in the one-sided first half. The only frustration with Ange Postecoglou was that his team didn’t push the gap further.

Midfielder Rogic started scoring in the 19th minute, gliding one challenge after a great first touch, dribbling between two United players at the edge of the box, around Charlie Mulgrew and Benjamin Siegrist. I curled the ball inside the distant post.

“Great,” Postecoglou said of Celtic’s Rogic’s 27th goal.

“… he’s one of these special soccer players. When the ball reaches him, I think everyone just stops seeing what he’s trying to do.

“And that’s not just his technique. He’s a strong player and it’s hard to knock off the ball.

“But I’ve always enjoyed Tommy’s coach. I spent years on the national team, and even as a manager, I’m excited when he plays his football. ..

“Tommy is one of those who work with him and take great pride in seeing him grow.”

The midfielder Turnbull missed a second chance before finding the net five minutes before halftime.

Callum McGregor found his run, lofted the pass, and a former motherwell midfielder bounced the ball to Siegrist and knocked home from a short distance.

Celtic weren’t very dominant after the break, but forward Kyogo Furuhashi was rejected several times and United couldn’t force him back into the match.

The protracted question was removed when Celtic’s replacement joined in the 81st minute.

Liel Abada cushioned Nir Bitton’s diagonal to the Liam Scales pass, and the left back produced the first finish measured from 18 yards through a deflection from Ryan Edwards.

Celtic coach Postecoglou said he was happy with the consistency the team showed. The team has scored 35 points in 16 games, four points behind the Champion Rangers.

“It was really solid from start to finish,” he told the BBC.

“We didn’t let Dundee United take a rest. We could have achieved more goals, but overall it was a very solid performance.

“What we are aiming for and wanting to be is getting better every week. We have been consistent for quite some time, both at home and outside, and that level of performance must be maintained. ..

“Tom Rogic was a little disappointed at the finish this season, but he did it today.”
