World Cup 2022: FIFA President Infantino ‘We’re in a hole and we should stop digging’ – Live | Live | World Cup 2022

Welsh Prime Minister Mark Drakeford responds to Infantino

First signs of fallout Infantino’s speech is by Welsh Prime Minister Mark Drakeford. Here’s what he has to say:

I had two thoughts when I heard that comment. First of all, I think there is an important point in being prepared to look back on our own history. Wales is an outgoing and inclusive country, and people’s rights really matter to us. But it wasn’t always the case. There have been times in our own history that what we have done, including what we have done in other parts of the world, fell short of the kind of beliefs and standards we hold today. So the time to look back on our own history is never wasted.

The second thing that came to mind when I heard what was said was that it reminded me of Healy’s First Law of the Hole. Some of you may remember Dennis Healy, the great labor politician. His first hole law was to stop digging when in a hole.

For those who missed last night – Karim Benzema will be an injured World Cup XI automatic pick. In fact, N’Golo Kante and Paul Pogba were also part of that team. Luckily, they still maintain the Mbappe-Giroux partnership up front. Fraternite!

Fun facts: Raheem Sterling made his England debut alongside Leon Osman, Steven Caulker and Carl Jenkinson. Ten years later, he’s a senior figure on the team, battling young upstarts for his XI place in Southgate. He’s out of shape, but I’d like to keep him on my side tomorrow in front of Grealish and Rashford.

some have been pointed out Gianni’s speech yesterday was remarkably similar to one given by former New York Governor Andrew Cuomo in 2017.
