* COVID-19 1838 new locally acquired case

* 7 deaths reported on Sunday:

-Men in their 50s, women in their 60s, men in their 70s, men in their 90s (all from Hume)

-Men in their 80s (Mornington Peninsula)

-Male in his 80s (Tralargon)

-Women in their 80s (Whitsea)

* Current outbreak deaths: 145

* The latest case of Metropolitan Melbourne:

-Western suburbs 527

-Southeast 612

-Northern 449

-Eastern 101

* 142 of the new cases occur in Victoria.

-Greater Sheperton 33

-Bobo Shire 19

-Greater Girong 19

-Mildura 12

* Total number of active cases: 23,376, including just under 1604 in Victoria

* 72,501 test results processed on Saturday


* 38,977 vaccines were given at the state hub on Friday

* 89% of Victorians over the age of 16 received the first vaccination and 65.5% received the second vaccination


* 777 people have been hospitalized, a decrease of 21 from Saturday, 151 of whom are in the intensive care unit, 94 of whom are on ventilators.

* 90% of people hospitalized with COVID-19 are not fully vaccinated
