Following almost everything in the first half, the short-handed Nets team gathered around Kyrie Irving in the second half, scoring a 134-129 comeback victory in New Orleans.
Irving responded with a big shot every time the pelican seemed to be late, scoring 24 out of 32 in the second half. This includes 15 points (5-6 FG) in the final quarter.
Nets was one of the seven players who scored in double digits because all-stars James Harden and Kevin Durant didn’t match and depended on depth.
With stardom in the Nets locker room and the success they experienced, Irving is spending his career year with almost the highest scoring average of his career, close to recording his first 50-40-90 shoot split. It’s easy to forget the time of his career.
