Protesters march across Australia as part of a “freedom” rally

Thousands of protesters have joined forces to expose concerns about the Covid vaccine and government blockade at a series of rallies across Australia.

The protests, held as part of what is called the “Global Rally for Freedom,” took place on Saturday in the Australian capital and regional centers such as Newcastle, Cairns, Bloom and Mount Gambier.

The Melbourne event attracted the largest audience, with more than 5,000 people walking from the Capitol through the CBD to Carlton Gardens.

Slogans such as “My body is my choice”, “Save our children”, “Free Victoria”, “Fake news”, “Fabstop jab”, “Sperm is the next bitcoin” Signs marked with stop dominated the cityscape when traffic came.

In a video posted on social media, protesters rebuked spectators wearing masks by shouting “take off their masks.”

Outside Victoria Police Headquarters, protesters chanted, “You are serving us,” while a series of police stared at them.

In Sydney, an estimated 2000 protesters gathered at Strathfield Station and walked to Burwood Park. There, a number of speakers spoke to the audience, including the controversial leader of Australia, Craig Kelly.

Police were working at the rally, but a spokeswoman for the Victorian and New South Wales police said the arrest was not made on Saturday afternoon.

Officers continued to maintain their presence as the crowd dispersed.
