A Victorian man admits that he raped a teenage girl he met in an online game called Habbo Hotel.
Francis Joseph McDonald, 56, faced the Magistrates’ Court in Melbourne on Thursday and denied three charges of sexually inserting a child between the ages of 10 and 16 on the Mornington Peninsula between 2005 and 2009. Was admitted.
The court had previously heard that McDonald’s met the girl through the Habbo Hotel and said he was in his twenties.
Police said he jumped over the fence of his family’s Mornington Peninsula home, visited her in a bungalow late at night, and repeatedly abused her.
At one point, the court was told that he visited the girl while she was babysittering the other children.
McDonald’s was arrested at Geelong’s home earlier this year.
He was initially charged with 11 charges of sexually inserting children between the ages of 10 and 16 and one charge of obscenity with children under the age of 16.
However, nine of these accusations were withdrawn on Thursday.
He remains on bail and will face a plea trial in Victorian State Court on April 21.
