One person killed in a deadly fire in Maryboro’s house

Police confirmed Thursday morning that a house broke out north of Brisbane, killing one and establishing a crime scene.

Emergency services were called to Maryboro’s house shortly before 8 am after reports that the house was “engaged” in the flames.

The body was in the house and was declared dead. However, police have not yet completed formal identification.

Garden Street has been blocked as investigators are working to determine the cause of the flame.
