Francesco Bagnaia has postponed the last lap attack for the second straight week, winning the MotoGP, this time the Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli.
Riding in the Ducati factory in his hometown of Italy, Banyaia stopped the second half of the race attack from championship-leading rival Fabio Quartararo and won the race in just 0.364 seconds.
Yamaha brought a harder medium rear tire compound, Quartararo, to the factory to close the gap with Quartararo later in the race, but thanks to Quartararo’s relentless consistency, it wasn’t far enough to make a move. ..
Quartararo stood on the 19th MotoGP podium while Quartararo declared his second career win. This is the most common among the French.
Behind them, Enea Bastianini raced from the 12th grid and an Italian rookie ran through the field.
Overtaking Aussie Jack Miller, current champion Joan Mir and six-time champion Marc Marquez, Tierney was the fastest rider on the circuit.
Very impressively at the 2019 Ducati, Tierney claimed to have taken the decent first podium in 3rd place.
The final laps of Miller, Marquez and Mir fought for fourth place.
The trio exchanged positions in the final sector, and on turn 14, Mir moved to Miller in 4th place, but Marquez was able to overtake the pair. Mir ran a lot on turn 15 trying to align in the last corner.
Despite finishing fifth after Marquez’s Honda, Mir was demoted to sixth due to exceeding track limits and handed Miller the top five finishes three times in a row.
Next up is the Espargaro brothers, Honda’s factory rider Pol Espargaro, who made his brother Aleix better at the Aprilia factory.
It was a disastrous round for the Austrian manufacturer, so only one KTM rider scored points.
Brad Binder is his only KTM rider, rising from 17th on the grid finishing in 9th, with LCR Honda rider Takaaki Nakagami in the top 10 ahead of Ducati wildcard rider Michele Pirro. I finished it.
Frenchman Johann Zarco, the fourth in a row, finished out of the top ten. This time, after an off-track excursion on Turn 1, he returned home in lonely 12th place.
In the second race at Aprilia’s factory, former Yamaha rider Maverick Viñales scored points at an Italian manufacturer and brought his # 12 car home in 13th place.
Honda test rider Stefan Bradl finished in 14th place ahead of satellite Honda rider Alex Marquez, who finished the 15-point scorer.
Danilo Petrucci finished 16th ahead of nine-time motorcycle champion Valentino Rossi.
Franco Morbidelli, who is still injured at his factory Yamaha debut, returned from Luca Marini, Miguel Oliveira and Andrea Dovizioso on his return to MotoGP on the 18th.
