Popular desserts sold in Woolworths, Coles and IGA supermarkets nationwide have been urgently recalled due to serious food safety concerns.

Unilever Australia has announced a recall of its best Weis Dairy Free Dark Chocolate & Coconut Multipack products on August 9, 2022 or the day before August 10, 2022.

Ice cream contains undeclared soy allergens.

Buyers with soy allergies or intolerances are encouraged not to consume ice cream. Instead, you will need to return it to the supermarket for a full refund.

In the most severe cases, soy allergies can lead to anaphylactic shock and can be fatal if urgent medical treatment is not provided.

More generally, soy allergies and intolerances cause hives, itching, runny nose, abdominal pain, diarrhea, nausea and vomiting.

According to Allergy & Anaphylaxis Australia, soy allergies are most common in young children.
