Grueling search for Swedish tourist swept off rock

The search for a Swedish student reportedly washed off a rock in Sydney has resumed on the fourth day.

Noah Sage is believed to have fallen onto the rocks at around 5:30 pm on Wednesday at Blue Fish Point, Manleys North Head, from a height of about 7 meters.

The New South Wales Police Sea Areas Command has asked lifeguards for assistance in continuing the search for the 20-year-old man.

Police helicopters and water police are engaged in the search, with divers expected to join later Saturday.

“Surf Life Saving NSW has been asked to assist in the search for a missing man on Saturday,” an SLS NSW spokesperson said Friday.

“We were asked to provide inflatable rescue boats and jet skis and UAVs (drone).”

The search was initially suspended late Wednesday night before resuming on Thursday and Friday with air support from PolAir.
