Data and AI companies Databricks Announced the general availability of Delta Live Tables (DLT) infrastructure management solutions.
According to the company, DLT is the first extraction, transformation, and read (ELT) framework that automates infrastructure management and brings state-of-the-art software engineering techniques to data engineering.
The platform is designed to simplify ELT development by capturing the declarative description of the complete data pipeline to automate the operational complexity of the Python and SQL languages.
Converting SQL queries into a production ETL pipeline often involves tedious and complex operational tasks. By using state-of-the-art software engineering techniques to automate the most time-consuming parts of data engineering, data engineers can focus on delivering data rather than operating and maintaining the pipeline.
DLT is already focusing on production use cases for major and multinational companies such as JLL, Shell, Jumbo, Bread Finance and ADP.
