Dangerously narrow climate window: Charles

Prince Charles said in a statement recorded at an environmental event in Saudi Arabia that there are “dangerously narrow windows” to accelerate climate change behavior.

Citing experts, the United Nations Climate Change Conference, known as COP26, which will begin at the end of October, must make a nationally determined contribution with a “clear baseline” and a net zero emission target by 2050. He said it wouldn’t.

He was speaking at the Saudi Arabia Green Initiative Forum. There, Saudi Arabia, a major oil exporter, announced on Saturday its goal of reaching net zero emissions by 2060.

Prince Charles said the broader Middle East Green Initiative, hosted by Saudi Arabia’s Green Initiative and Riyadh on Monday, would help accelerate the great progress already made.
