“I recently had a disc replacement. I trained for about 6 months to increase the strength of my gluteal muscles, legs, and core to prepare for recovery as much as possible.
“Now I’m back in strength training and using resistance bands, lightweight, slow rep. This is good for me and my age body.”
This is just one of the fitness changes a 43-year-old man made when adjusting his training routine to his age, but his biggest discovery was sleeping in a healthy lifestyle. It states that it is an important role to play.
“When I was young, I used to train in the gym to lift heavy weights to build muscle size, but now I’m in my 40s and I’m training strength and stability,” he reveals.
“Sleep is also one of the key factors in building and maintaining a healthy body and mind.
“We have a regular sleep routine, sleeping around 9:30 pm every night, ideally by 10:30 pm. We are between 6 am and 7 am Wake up somewhere, usually without an alarm, the sun wakes us up a little earlier in the warmer months.
“I work best somewhere in 7 to 8 hours of sleep, but I’m very lucky to be able to take a nap on the plane-when that was a problem!-So I’m generally at rest. It’s a person. “
