Investigators found the body of a man reportedly missing after entering the river in Tally on Saturday morning. Police said in a statement Saturday afternoon that a 23-year-old Tally man was last seen entering the Manning River early in the morning around 3 am. A police officer at the Manning Great Lakes Police Station also entered the river when he was seen having problems underwater. But he couldn’t find it. Major investigations have begun, including local police, maritime command, police divers, PolAir, NSW Emergency Services and Marine Rescue NSW. Police said the man’s body was found and recovered around 1 pm. This will create a report on the coroner’s information. According to police, a critical incident team at the Mid North Coast police station was conducting a continuous and ongoing investigation into all circumstances surrounding the incident.
