However, while the remaining votes were counted in the main seats (such as Bennelong in Sydney and Deakin in Melbourne), he discussed with returning members of the House of Representatives Crossbench.

“I have talked with existing members of the Crossbench and from Rebeka Sharkey, Bob Cutter, Andrew Wilkie, Helen Haynes and Zari Stegggal that they do not support and support the distrust resolution against the government. I confirmed. I will secure the supply. ”

“It’s important to respect the outcome of Saturday’s elections. I stuck to what I said before the elections, and so do they.

“They consider the law on its benefits. I treat them with respect.”

Albanese added that his Labor administration will begin implementing the agenda next Wednesday (as mentioned earlier, the entire cabinet will be sworn in next Tuesday). These priorities include the full implementation of the recommendations of the National Reconstruction Fund, Australia’s strong plans, and the Report on Workplace Respect.

Other priorities, according to the Prime Minister, include affordable childcare, long-term care repairs, the establishment of a national anti-corruption commission, and the constitutional approval of Australia’s first people.

“I look forward to leading a government that is proud of Australians,” said Albanese.

“A government that doesn’t seek division, doesn’t have wedges, and seeks to connect people for our common interests and purposes. I think that’s one of the messages that arrived on Saturday. People are in conflict. I’m tired. ”
