“Life can change a lot in a blink of an eye,” she wrote on Instagram.
“For me, 2022 wasn’t a great start. A broken neck and a positive Covid test.
“Simply put, I first jumped into the head of a shallow pool and hit my head to the bottom.”
She photographed herself with a neck brace when she was taken to the Gold Coast University Hospital after the accident.
“I took an X-ray / CT scan and an MRI and found that I had two severe fractures in my neck. I was sent directly to the hospital by ambulance for evaluation by a neurosurgeon,” she said. Said.
“Result: I didn’t have to have surgery right away. I hope my neck will heal, so I was sent home with a hard neck brace that would allow me to live 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for the next 4 months.
“I’m very lucky that I’m not alive or quadriplegic because I just lost my spinal cord … In my view, for the rest of the happy and healthy life, I’m going to the sea for four months.”
