A hit-and-run accident occurred in northeastern Perth, killing a 3-year-old boy.
Police are looking for a white Holden Commodore driver who attacked a baby on Hancock Avenue in Avery before fleeing the area around 5:15 pm on Wednesday.
According to police, the car was moving north at that time.
The boy’s parents rushed him to Midland Hospital, where it is understood that he later died.
A police spokesman said Wednesday night that “a staff member of the Major Accident Investigation Division is investigating an incident in Avery later this afternoon.”
“Around 5:15 pm, a white Holden Commodore was heading north on Hancock Avenue when the vehicle hit a child and couldn’t stop.
“The 3-year-old boy was taken to Midland Hospital. Sadly, he died after a while.”
